GoDovaro is a Windows desktop app. Opening, editing, and saving a PDF happens on that computer. The document is not uploaded to godovaro.io to be edited, stored, or read.
What activation sends
When a key is activated, and when the app later checks that the seat is still valid, it sends the license key, a short hash derived from the Windows machine id, the computer name, the Windows user name, a hash of the Windows user id, and the app version. The raw machine id and security id are not sent. The server stores the public IP of that connection. If godovaro.io cannot be reached, the last successful check is good for 7 days. After that the app has to connect again.
What a license is
One key is one PC and one Windows user. The server stores a hash of the key, not a copy you can read back after the first activation. A second PC needs a reassign from the portal, or another seat. A 14-day trial is one key. A second trial will not activate on a PC that already used a trial. Disposable email addresses are refused.
What this is not
A signature or date is a stamp on the page. It is not a qualified electronic signature. Cover hides content on the page. It is not certified redaction. There is no SOC 2 or ISO report. The license database is on the web host for godovaro.io.
Install trust
The current public installer is signed with an internal certificate. Windows SmartScreen can still warn on a first download. A public publisher certificate is the fix for that. See IT and install.
